Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Linda!
This week, we’re honored to spotlight Linda, a dedicated volunteer who has been making an impact with ICO for over 20 years!
Linda’s journey with ICO began with her husband, Bob, whose passion for volunteering inspired her to get involved. She was drawn to the opportunity to serve the community, knowing that ICO plays a vital role in helping individuals and families in Dare and Currituck counties who are facing temporary crises.
Her commitment to service has not gone unnoticed – Linda was recognized with the 2022 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for her outstanding dedication to ICO. Beyond her work with us, she is deeply involved in the community, serving as a Eucharistic minister, lector, and pastoral council member at Holy Redeemer by the Sea Catholic Church. She has also served as past chair and committee member at the Outer Banks Hospital.
For Linda, the most rewarding part of volunteering isn’t just the impact she makes – it’s also the relationships she forms along the way. She cherishes the connections built with both the people ICO serves and the fellow volunteers she works alongside.
Having lived on the Outer Banks for 25 years, Linda has witnessed the challenges many in the community face, and through her service, she ensures that no one falls through the cracks.
Linda, we are incredibly grateful for your unwavering dedication, kindness, and commitment to making a difference. Thank you for all that you do!
