Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Dale!
This week, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Dale, a dedicated and compassionate volunteer who has been a part of ICO since 2005—an incredible 20 years of service!
Dale’s journey with ICO began through his late wife, who was also a volunteer. She was a special education teacher with a deep commitment to the community, and her passion inspired Dale to get involved. Since then, he’s continued to carry on her legacy of service, becoming a steadfast presence at ICO.
A resident of the Outer Banks for the past 25 years, Dale brings a unique and vital perspective to his volunteer work as a veteran. His insights and advocacy have strengthened ICO’s veteran outreach program, helping to connect those who served with the resources and support they need.
Dale is deeply committed to building connections and uplifting others. He is passionate about advocating for people, recognizing how important and life-changing this work can be. Over the years, he has also been involved with Room In The Inn and Mano a Hermano, further extending his reach in the community.
Beyond ICO, Dale is an active member of the Veterans Advisory Council and the Marine Corps League, always striving to support his fellow veterans and those in need.
Dale, thank you for your decades of service, your heart for others, and the leadership you bring to our mission. You are truly making a difference every day.
