Volunteers are the Heart and Soul of ICO
Intake Volunteers
review the whole situation of each family in need, assess the best fit of either direct assistance or referrals to other community agencies, and then arrange delivery of these services. Process applications serving hundreds of men, women and children in need in our community.
Home Rehabilitation Volunteers
in partnership with Duck United Methodist Caring Hands, other church groups, and local builders, build home access ramps, minor repair residences, and help with yard work.
Disaster Recovery Volunteers
under Dare County Emergency Management provide community liaison during any disaster that effects our area.
Administration Volunteers
provide the administrative services required to keep a busy office functioning smoothly and professionally.
Special Event Volunteers
assist the ICO by working to raise funds through organizing money making events or serve on a social committee.
