ICO Director Speaks at Crossroads OBX’s Building Bridges Fundraiser, Supporting Life-Changing Outreach

On March 28th, Crossroads OBX hosted its annual “Building Bridges” fundraiser at Liberty Christian Fellowship, bringing together community leaders and supporters to raise awareness and support for individuals seeking life transformation. The event featured keynote speakers Dare County Sheriff Doug Doughtie, ICO Executive Director Jenniffer Albanese, and Pastor Danny Burdette of Mount Carmel Global Methodist Church and Chaplain of the Manns Harbor Volunteer Firefighter Department.

The event also highlighted the dedication of Crossroads OBX Program Coordinator Teresa Clarkin Green, who has been instrumental in advancing Crossroads’ mission of walking alongside individuals in need and guiding them toward a future of personal responsibility, accountability, and connection to community.
“We are proud to support the mission of Crossroads OBX,” said Jenniffer Albanese, Executive Director of ICO. “The ‘Building Bridges’ fundraiser is a powerful example of how the community can come together to help individuals find the support and guidance they need to change the course of their lives. ICO is honored to be part of this transformative work.”

Crossroads OBX offers a Christ-centered outreach, walking alongside individuals in need as “Friends,” while connecting them to a safe and supportive community. Their mission is to help individuals experience a sense of belonging through personal responsibility and accountability. Crossroads works as a touchpoint for individuals to connect with community resources, meeting their unique needs through partnership and guidance.

The “Building Bridges” fundraiser was a tremendous success, raising vital funds to support the ongoing work of Crossroads OBX, enabling them to continue helping individuals rebuild their lives and experience a place of safety and support.

ICO is proud to stand alongside Crossroads OBX in their mission to help individuals in need, and together, the organizations will continue to foster a community of care and support for those who need it most.
