Dear Friends, Happy Holidays! As the year winds down, I know that you are getting appeal letters from dozens of non-profits. Interfaith Community Outreach allows you to donate to Outer Banks vital programs and services. Your monetary support allows ICO to continue to bridge the gap in our community by providing temporary assistance to struggling families and individuals in need.
ICO provided over $400,000 last year in outreach to help struggling individuals and families with everyday expenses including: Mortgages, Rents, Utilities, Medical Expenses, Prescriptions, Cancer Outreach, Transportation Costs, Cremations, Emergency Dental Expenses, and Disaster Outreach.
A recent client, a Veteran of the US Marines who served both in Iraq & Afghanistan, found himself in need after a medical emergency that left him temporarily unable to work. Due to his loss of income, he was facing foreclosure and homelessness for him and his family. ICO provided mortgage assistance for this family to get them out of foreclosure. He has now recovered and is back at work providing for his family. He looks forward to the day he can return the gift that ICO gave him and become a donor. This is just one example of how your donation helps our community.
